Choosing your photoshoot location

It’s time to choose the location for your photoshoot! I want this to be the most simple of all the steps you take to prepare for your shoot. In these blog posts I’ve laid out what I think will be the details about each location that will help you make the best decision for choosing your photo session site. Keep scrolling – links are pasted below.

Here are the things I think you’ll want to consider as you read these posts…

Is this the backdrop I would love to see my family in? Take just a moment to think about some of the photos you’ve seen and loved. What was the backdrop for these photographs?

Will I be able to easily access this location? This is important to consider if you have anyone with any disabilities or small children that might need a stroller. Some locations require a little more of a walk. Something to consider if you’re nine months pregnant.

Will I be able to wear the clothing that I bought for this shoot? Some locations require boots or full coverage shoes. Some dresses won’t work if we’re in a really windy spot. If you’re planning to change clothing, will you need a bathroom or will you feel okay about changing in a towel or out in the open?

Where will my family feel most comfortable? Do you have a child that is afraid of the water? Maybe a toddler that is afraid of animals? I want your people to feel like their best selves when we’re working together.

Below are the links to most of my favorite photoshoot locations in the South Bay. I hope it is helpful to you!
