Looking for a photo location that has beautiful architecture? Are you hoping for something besides trees, beaches and trails for your family or maternity photos? Malaga Cove Plaza could be the place for you! This location has so much to offer. I think you’re going to love it as much as I do.
One of the reasons I love this photo location is the variety it provides for your images. In just one shopping plaza you find beautiful archways, a dreamy staircase, excellent landscaping, brick backgrounds, ornate doors, and more. All of these things provide the perfect backdrop for your photo shoot.
This location is nice for family and maternity photo shoots. If timed properly, large groups can gather here as well. There is plenty of easy access for the handicapped and elderly. We can avoid all steps and staircases for your shoot with no problem.

Still hoping to get a bit of nature into your family and maternity photos? There are trees, an open pathway and large rocks nearby. If this is something you are interested in, let me know in the planning stages of our shoot. We will plan accordingly.
On the off chance that the weather is looking rainy, this is a great place! You’ll find plenty of cover and will still get those amazing photos you are hoping for. These shoots (below) were all taken in the pouring rain! Everyone was dry and comfortable for their family photos.
If you’re wondering how to incentivize (aka bribe) your children or uncooperative spouse for the photo shoot, I highly recommend visiting Ranch Market for lunch or Yellow Vase for a cupcake after our time together.
Malaga Cove Plaza has some very unique shops as well. My favorite is Corners of the World. It is a great place to find a small treasure for a child that kept their smile on during our session. Most of these businesses provide restrooms for their customers. A huge plus if you’ve got little children.
